remember when we did what we were sold?
before we knew the world would end so slow
and all these flags are going to make me cry
i’m going to run away and hide
i’ll do or die.
you’re going to wish i warned you endlessly.
hiding is only part of being seen.
sharing different answers - misery.
when i have every thing you left for me.
there going to name a virtue after this
for rearranging everything you missed
dealing with the punches for the kiss
for forgetting what you used to need
and begging for an answering machine.
only to leave when you’re left with
the chance to breath or forget, and i wish
that the prayers you sent would come back
with blessings, instead of second guessing.
you’ll never have to scram to make scene
we’ll just pretend we never made believe
even though such traffic is hard to see
i still have everything you left in me.
